Computer virus as metaphor for foreign policy.

The US launches a digital weapon into the wild that is sure to bite them back, repeating the same mistakes: Order Sped Up Wave of Cyberattacks Against Iran (NY Times).

The human virus behind the digital virus: Wrong objectives, giving your opponents the weapons and the moral ground.

“In fact, no country’s infrastructure is more dependent on computer systems, and thus more vulnerable to attack, than that of the United States”. Now you can see it coming.

“Having falsely accused Saddam Hussein of reconstituting his nuclear program in Iraq, Mr. Bush had little credibility in publicly discussing another nation’s nuclear ambitions”. Or anything else for that matter.

Your government doing someone else’s bidding.
